Ball Slide – Challenge Game with Tape Measure, Balls and Cups

Ball Slide is a fun and skill-based challenge game where players use a tape measure as a ramp to roll balls into cups. The difficulty can be adjusted by the number and size of cups, the distance, and the type of balls used.

How to Play

Place several cups on a table — the more cups you use, the harder the game becomes.
Mark a starting line about 2 meters away from the table (or more for harder modes). Players must not cross this line with their feet.
Hook the end of a tape measure onto the rim of a target cup and extend the tape back to the starting line, creating a ramp.
At the start, place a ball on the tape at the starting line and let it roll down into the cup.
Repeat until all the predetermined balls or cups are completed.

Game Variants

  • Solo: the winner is the best time on the clock to land the set number of balls in the target cups from the set distance.

  • 1 vs. 1: played simultaneously; the first player to finish correctly wins.

  • Teams: one player holds the tape measure while the other releases the ball, then they switch roles. The objective should be an even number of balls or cups to divide tasks equally.

Hard mode / extra difficulty ideas:

  • Increase the distance (start line at 2.5–3 m).

  • Use smaller cups or cups with varying diameters.

  • Add more target cups, with an imposed order (e.g., left to right).
